At Second Church you are invited to a genuine worship experience with a relevant and authentic community. You will be invited to a greater purpose, to grow in your faith in Christ, and make a difference by serving people in the community and around the world.

What do people wear for worship at Second Church?

On Sunday mornings you are invited to come and worship God with us without having to worry about how you are dressed. There are some who come in a suit and tie or a dress, while others prefer shorts and a t-shirt or jeans. We believe that God cares about what is in your heart rather than the type of clothes you are wearing.

What can I expect when I come on Sunday Morning?

Our worship service begins around 10:45 a.m. Our parking lot is clearly marked and you can enter any door from the lot. As you enter the building, you will find many warm and friendly people who will assist you with any questions. During the worship service, we will sing together and have a time of prayer. The message will be a relevant and grace-filled sermon from the Bible. If we are serving communion that day, everyone will be invited to participate. As a guest, you will never be singled out. Our services last approximately an hour.

What about things for kids?

At Second Church children are valuable and are considered a gift from God. During the service, there will be a time for Children to come forward for a brief children’s message. Many parents accompany their children. We also offer a nursery (birth to age 3)  and Children’s church (preschool 4 & 5 year olds to 2nd grade) on most Sundays.

What other times during the week does the church gather?

On Wednesday, generally following the public school schedule, we gather for a meal with everyone at 5:30 pm in the Family Life Center. After the meal, there are opportunities for small groups for youth and children from 6:00-7:00 pm.
