Basketball Church

Safe Haven House at 3010 Magnolia Avenue is a safe place for children and youth seeking to turn away from gangs and life on the streets. Lawrence Williams,  founder of Safe Haven, may be found many nights on the street making a difference in young men’s lives. Williams shows these young people that they have a choice, and leading them to Christ is his calling. On Monday and Friday nights, the young men play basketball at Second Church.

Ways to help impact the lives of these young men:

Donate gift cards (Shoney’s, CiCis Pizza…)

Give a monetary donation (mark your gift as “Basket Ball Church”).  Gifts will be used to help provide supper on Monday and Friday nights.

Prepare supper for 12-15 (pizza, sandwiches…)
