What to Expect in Worship

For those who feel comfortable and choose to gather in person to worship, please know there will be safety protocols in place. We want to keep you as safe as possible We will also need your help to allow everyone in attendance to be comfortable and more safe.

 What We Are Doing

Cleaning and sanitizing the sanctuary between the weekly services.

Hand sanitizer stations will be available at the entrance and throughout the building.

Shorter Service: Our service will be approximately 40  minutes long.

Designated Entrance: The Cowan Street entrance is the designated entrance and exit for the building. The door will be locked at 10:45 AM. If you arrive after 10:45, come to the main entrance and an usher will let you in. The Cowan Street entrance will be unlocked thirty minutes prior to the service.

Coffee and Water Fountains: The water fountains have been disconnected and coffee will not be available.

Physical Distancing: Every other pew in the sanctuary will be taped off. Available seating will be staggered in the open pews and marked with bulletins placed in each seat.  Households will be seated together.  Ushers will guide you to available seats as needed.    The “cry room” will be closed.  Only the handicapped accessible restrooms on the lower level (entrance level) will be open. A diaper changing station will be located in the women’s handicapped accessible restroom.  All other areas in the church will be closed.

Phased Exiting: We will have phased exiting, usher guided and beginning in the rear of the sanctuary to avoid groups gathering inside the building after the Service.  There will not be a pastor’s receiving line. However, we would love to see you outside, and we encourage you to take any conversations outside after the service. Whether inside or outside, please be mindful of others and practice safe social distancing.

Children’s Message: The children will remain with their families in the pews during the children’s message. There will not be a nursery or children church.  Children worship packets will be available during the service. We welcome children in the service – cries, talking,  restlessness and all!

What We Are Asking You to Do

Personal Health Considerations: If you are sick, exhibiting symptoms, or have had close contact with a person with Covid-19 in the last 14 days, please stay home and enjoy our worship online.

Physical distance:  We are asking each household to practice physical distancing and remain 6 feet from others whenever possible. Please be especially mindful of this while entering and leaving the building and in the sanctuary.

Spread out a little: Please leave 6’ between you and others who are not part of your family or household. Our ushers will be available to help you find a seat if needed.

Masks: Everyone must wear a mask outside and inside the church building. We wear a mask to show love and protect our neighbor. We will have extra masks if you need one.

Pre-register using the form below or call the church office 524-1689.  If you have not preregistered, you will be directed to a volunteer to record your attendance for contact tracing purposes if needed.

Handshakes & Hugs: Please refrain from hugging and shaking hands.  This is hard to do when we are in the habit of welcoming one other with  handshakes or hugs. Air hugs are waves are ways to share the love.
